Safety has always been a fundamental part of the Hawks & Company mantra. We pride ourselves on creating a safe work environment. Our field technicians are encouraged to report any potential safety concern.
Over the past few years we have been aiming to prove our commitment to safety. As a small company, once incident can impact our EMR (experience modification rate issued by the state). Our goal was to bring our EMR to 0.85 by 2017.
We are excited to announce that not only did we beat our goal, we exceeded our target a year ahead of schedule.
This was achieved via a number of implemented safe practices.
- All of our technicians are required to take the OSHA 10 – Occupational Safety and Health Training class in Construction Safety and Health.
- All are certified in first aid and CPR facilitated by Cooper University Hospital training centers.
- Hawks & Company has a dedicated Safety committee which initiate toolbox talks before every monthly meeting, and brings in outside speakers to train on new possible dangers, such as confined spaces training, proper LO/TO procedures, and safe driving practices.
- Hawks & Company provides hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, harnesses and any other required PPE.
We are extremely proud to say that we have created a culture around safety. Hawks & Company is dedicated to affording our team the best opportunity be safe on the job and get home safely every night.
We would like to thank all of our employees for remaining committed to good work practices. And, a thank you to our customers for your hard work to make our jobs, and your facilities, as safe as possible.
