Stairwell Pressurization, Atlantic City, New Jersey

Challenge: Upgrade the mechanical systems that support the smoke evacuation system for a 40-story high-rise condominium building at the New Jersey shore. The facility needed to be brought up to meet local fire code regulations.

Solution: Hawks & Company performed a complete evaluation of all of the mechanical systems in question. The design and installation of new supply ductwork, fresh air louvers, fans, and controls were completed in order to achieve the desired pressure readings for the smoke evacuation specifications.

Results: By upgrading the mechanical systems, the building will meet the local fire code regulations. Hawks & Company worked closely with the building's fire alarm company to create a seamless solution for the condominium owners.
